Recently, I have met a few people who also suffer from chronic migraines and, as expected, most of us have tried the same meds, the same treatments, and have experienced similar side effects and confronted the same judgements. It's nice to talk to people who get it, so to speak. But, at the same time, it is a little disheartening when you are confronted with the fact that very little advancements have been made in the last several years in the study or treatment of migraines. Also, we still have a lot of work to do to educate non migraine sufferers on the fact that a migraine is NOT "just a headache."
One thing that has helped me lately is essential oils. After doing some extensive research, I put together a blend of essential oils that I call "Migraine Soother." I put the mixture in a roller bottle & apply directly to my forehead & temples when the migraine strikes. It doesn't get rid of the pain, but it definitely takes the edge off a bit, makes the pain a little less acute. More on this & where you can get some later.

3. ELIGIBILITY: The contest may be entered by any person aged 13 and over world-wide. Any person under age 18, must have the consent of a parent/guardian in the form of aforementioned's signature on entry form. A minor's essay will NOT be considered with parental/guardian consent, as outlined above. Multiple entries, with multiple fees paid, by an individual are acceptable, provided that each entry is submitted separately. Likewise, an individual may enter other writing contests sponsored by Michelle Harmon of Writers Winning (writerswinning.blogspot.com). No person directly related to the contest sponsor/judge may enter the contest.
4. ESSAY ENTRY FEE: The entry fee is $1.00 US FUNDS. The fee must be paid via Paypal. The fee is to be paid to e-mail address: writerswinning@gmail.com. No checks, money orders, cash, etc. will be accepted. The entry fee in NON-REFUNDABLE. There will be no refunds given for ANY reason.
5. ODDS: Entrants understand that the odds of winning depend solely upon the number of entries received and that the sponsor/judge has no control over that number. Entrants understand that entering does not, in any way, guarantee that s/he will win.
6. DEADLINES AND PRIZE DISTRIBUTION : All entries, monies must be received on or before April 15, 2015 in order to be considered. The winner will be chosen on April 25, 2015. The winner will be notified via e-mail on April 15, 2015. Prize shall be delivered via USPS Priority Mail or in person on or before April 25, 2015.
7. COPYRIGHT AND PUBLICATION: Entry in the contest constitutes an assignment to the sponsor, Michelle Harmon, to all copyrights under both statute and the common law and all other rights derivative there from. By entering the contest, entrants grant permission to the sponsor, Michelle Harmon, and Writers Winning to publish all or part of the essay on the Facebook page, blog, in print and so forth, all without royalty or further consideration. The judge will be looking for writing that expressly addresses the theme/question with a clear thesis and supporting arguments. Essays will also be judged on grammar, mechanics and style.
